Moment has two fees. Every rate and amount in the app already includes them. Both go to the protocol owner.

Taker fee: 0.5% of the rate

The fee nudges the rate a little against the trader:
  • Fixed: you get the maker’s rate × 0.995. A 5.26% bid gives you 5.23%.
  • Leverage: you pay the maker’s rate ÷ 0.995. A 5.30% ask costs you 5.33%.
A Fixed taker receives the maker's rate times one minus f; a Leverage taker pays the maker's rate divided by one minus f; makers keep their spread

Traders pay 0.5% of the rate. Makers keep their full rate.

Closing before the maturity is a Fixed or Leverage trade in reverse through the book, so it pays the same 0.5%. Let the position reach its maturity and there is no fee at all: Fixed has realised all its yield and is plain balance, and a Leverage window has run down to 0 with its yield already in your balance. It is charged on the interest, not on the full trade size. For example, a $1M Fixed trade for one month at 5% pays about $21 in fees.

Makers pay nothing

Limit and Recursive providers keep their full rate and their full spread. The fee is not a share of the LP’s spread. A one-sided Limit order has no spread to take a share of, so Moment charges the taker directly instead. That way Limit and Recursive liquidity are charged the same way.

Not Moment fees

  • Vault fees belong to the vault and are already in its price.
  • Network gas is shown in your wallet.
