Basics

What is Moment? A way to choose when you earn yield on a yield-bearing coin. See What is Moment? What is a TimeBalance? Your money drawn as a line over time, from Now to ∞. Every trade changes its shape. Is this like Pendle? Similar. Fixed is like buying PT and Leverage like buying YT. But your coin is never split into tokens, nothing expires, and you pick any window. See For traders. How do I deposit and withdraw? There is no separate deposit button. Your tokens come in when you pay with Tokens (like sUSDS) in a trade, or when you add liquidity with sUSDS. Withdraw with Close → Shares. At face value you can take out up to the lowest point of your line from Now on. Why USDS and not sUSDS? Amounts are shown in the coin underneath the vault (USDS), not in vault shares (sUSDS).

Yield

Do I need to claim yield? No. It is added to your line at each sync, automatically. Do I lose yield if I don’t touch my position? No. It waits and lands the next time anything syncs your position. Is there a price oracle? No. Yield comes from the vault itself and rates come from the market.

Trading

When are the dates? In the example market: the 2nd and 17th of each month, 08:00 UTC, 8 open at a time. Is Fixed guaranteed? The rate is locked if you hold to the date. Closing early uses today’s rates. Fixed does not protect you if the vault itself loses value, and smart-contract risk still applies. See Risks and security. Is my money locked after Fixed? Yes, the amount you paid is locked until the date. To get out early, use Close. Should I Fix or just hold? Fixed wins if the vault averages less than your fixed rate until the date; holding wins if it averages more. See Fixed or just hold? Can I withdraw my Leverage exposure? No. The extra balance in your window only earns yield for you. See Leverage or just hold? Can Leverage be liquidated? No. It is prepaid. The most you can lose is what you paid. What if part of my trade can’t fill? Nothing fills. Trades across several periods are all or nothing. What happens to my trade at the maturity? Nothing expires. Your line just carries on as a plain balance. Why is there no red when I pay with Tokens? Because nothing comes out of your TimeBalance. The tokens leave your wallet instead.

Liquidity

Limit or Recursive? Limit is one order at one rate that fills once. Recursive quotes both sides and keeps earning the spread. See Recursive. What do I hold after my bid fills? The principal side: extra yield exposure over the period before the date (it works like a YT). After an ask fills, you hold the interest side: a fixed amount from the date on (it works like a PT). When does a fill reach my TimeBalance? At the next sync. Nothing to claim. What happens to my liquidity at the maturity? The bin stops quoting. An interest side (from a bid or Recursive) becomes plain TimeBalance and keeps earning. A principal side (from an ask or Recursive) ends at the date; you keep the yield it earned.

Fees and safety

Is it safe? No DeFi protocol is risk-free. See Risks and security for what can go wrong. What are the fees? 5% of yield (and of vault extras like points), and 0.5% of the rate for traders. Makers pay nothing. See Fees.
